Congress is Critical

While presidential races grab headlines, our energy and our dollars may have greater impact further down the ballot.

America's fate hinges not only on who occupies the Oval Office but also on who controls the halls of Congress. The majority party in Congress wields significant power. They chair committees, set legislative agendas, confirm federal judges and cabinet positions, shape budgets, control procedures, ratify treaties, oversee investigations, and certify votes. They sometimes choose presidents and sometimes impeach them. Congress shapes our nation's future.

November's elections will decide over 10,000 races, including 469 seats in the U.S. House and Senate. Slim margins will determine many of these outcomes. Some of these races are “stacked” in the same state as other tight races for State Attorneys General, State Supreme Court Justices, State Legislators, or additional Congressional seats.

Tight Races and Mission-Aligned Ballot Measures

Races projected to be within a 5% margin of victory and ballot measures on reproductive rights, LGBTQ rights, minimum wage, education, and climate.  

Ballot Measure Boost

Feel Good Impact* motivates voters who care about our mission of just societies and a healthy planet. We focus on activating young people, women, people of color, and LGBTQ individuals because they overwhelmingly align with our values. Recent elections in Kansas, Michigan, and Ohio show that key ballot initiatives can boost the turnout of these audiences.

Why FGI? As a 501(c)(4), Feel Good Impact is allowed to target and
promote electoral outcomes in tight races and specific geographies.

The most salient ballot measures for FGI audiences address reproductive rights, LGBTQ rights, cannabis, minimum wage, climate, childcare, education, and gun safety. Voters who feel passionate about these issues will turn out to vote and will vote their values up and down the ticket.
